I plan to spend most of the summer relaxing and doing a number of self-development things at an easy-going pace.
I have some business related things to take care of: taxes, wrapping up my condo sale, buying property (if I can still afford it).
Most of the summer, though, will be spent on self-development, with the exception of my usual dive in to cheap detective novels and other light, fun reading.
- Education:
- take lessons and get a motorcycle licence
- re-assess my teaching strategies and philosophy
- I used to be great (or at least really good); I used to love teaching. Lately, I haven't had as much fun and I'm sure my students haven't had as much fun learning. I plan to figure out why.
- work on Moodle
- learn to put grades on line, do quizzes, and manipulate groups
- Physical (I haven't been aging as gracefully as I feel that I should. As I sit here in my boxers and sleaveless undershirt, I am definitely not a sight to be seen.)
- get back in shape
- eat healthier
- drink less
- Spiritually
- follow up on my Taoist and Buddhist leanings. This might help me with my biggest problem: my need to really, seriously lighten up (Can one SERIOUSLY become less serious?)
